Xishan Island: 88-meter Guanyin and Linwudong Cave
Xishan Island (西山岛) is the largest island in Lake Taihu, a jewel of Jiangsu Province. Here majestic nature meets ancient spirituality. The island's main treasures are the 88-meter Guanyin bodhisattva statue in the "Great Sacred Land" complex (苏州大如意圣境) and the legendary Linwudong Cave (林屋洞), known as the "Ninth Cave of China".
You will ascend to the foot of the giant statue, discover the secrets of the karst caves, enjoy panoramic views of the boundless Lake Taihu and touch a history that stretches back centuries.
