Rules for visiting tea plantations and the village
Fengyi is a living village with centuries of history. Please respect private property, do not enter houses without permission, do not make noise. On the tea plantations, be careful not to damage the bushes.

Fengyi: Village and Tea Terraces
Fengyi (丰义村) is an authentic village 2 hours from Shanghai with houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties, water canals and stone bridges. On its tea plantations (60 mu) wooden walkways and viewing trails lead to an observation deck, and during the harvest season (spring/autumn) you can try picking tea and see traditional roasting.

What to expect
- Departure from Shanghai (08:00) — meeting at Xinzhuang metro station, ~2–2.5 hours (120 km) with one stop.
- Arrival in Fengyi (10:30) — walk along the ancient street, see Ming and Qing dynasty houses.
- Water canals and bridges (11:00–11:30) — photo session by the canals.
- Tea plantations (11:30–12:30) — walk through the tea terraces, observation deck, talk about tea varieties and picking traditions.
- Lunch (12:30–13:30) — traditional lunch at a local restaurant with Zhejiang cuisine.
- Tea tasting and factory tour (13:30–14:30) — visit the local tea factory, watch roasting, taste fresh tea.
- Craft workshops and ancestral hall (14:30–15:30) — visit workshops for papermaking, embroidery, wood carving, and the hall.
- Free time and return (15:30–16:30) — walk around the village, buy souvenirs (including tea).
- Return to Shanghai (16:30–19:00) — approximate arrival at Xinzhuang metro station around 19:00.
