Sanqingshan: granite peaks, cloud trails and UNESCO Taoist temples
The Sanqingshan Scenic Area (三清山) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as the “most beautiful granite landscape in China”. It is located in Jiangxi Province, 500 km from Shanghai. The mountain is famous for its fantastic rock formations, cloud trails and ancient Taoist temples.
The tour will give you unforgettable impressions: you will ascend by cable car to an altitude of over 1200 m, walk along the Western Circular Trail – a suspended path over the abyss, see the famous “Giant Python” peak, the “Enthusiastic Maiden” and the “Yuanqiu Pillar”. You will enjoy breathtaking views of the sea of clouds and unique Taoist shrines.
