How long does the tour take?

This is a one-day tour. Departure from Shanghai early in the morning, return in the evening. You will spend about 4–5 hours in the village.

How to get to Jinyun?

By high-speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao to Jinyun West station (about 2.5 hours), then by taxi to the village (about 1 hour). Transfer by car from Shanghai is also possible.

Comfortable shoes, water, a light snack, camera, cash for lunch and souvenirs.

Yanxia Stone Village (岩下石头村) is a unique open-air architectural monument located in the scenic mountains of Jinyun County (Zhejiang Province). Meeting at Xinzhuang metro station – convenient departure from the southern part of Shanghai, avoiding city center traffic. Early start (6:30–7:00).
Comfortable ride by car / minivan – distance ≈320 km, travel time including short stops – about 4–4.5 hours.
Arrival at Yanxia Stone Village – direct to the parking lot, no transfers.
Walk along stone streets – over 200 houses made of volcanic stone, a medieval atmosphere.
Visit Fengxiqiao Bridge – an old arched bridge from the late Qing Dynasty, surrounded by ancient maples.
Visit the Zhu Ancestral Hall (built in 1683) – the main cultural center of the village.
Hike to Baizhangyan Waterfall – a 30-meter waterfall through a bamboo grove (about 20 minutes of walking).

Departure should ideally be before 7:00 to avoid morning traffic in Shanghai and on the approach to Hangzhou.
Wear comfortable shoes – stone streets are uneven and slippery after rain.

Entrance to the village and all main attractions (bridge, hall, waterfall) is free. This makes the trip especially attractive.
